Corvette PPF, ceramic coating, and tint

A Corvette’s nose sits inches off the road, and the C8 throws debris from its own front tires right into its side intakes and rear quarters. Film stops the chips, a coating keeps the paint glossy and easy to wash, and ceramic tint keeps the cabin cool on a Florida afternoon.

Why it matters:Rock chips on a Corvette’s nose don’t heal, and touch-up paint never matches. The best time to protect it is before the first highway drive.

Why Corvettes need it

Low, wide, and fast means chips

We protect Corvettes regularly: C8 Stingrays and Z06s, and older C5, C6, and C7 cars too. They all share the same problem. The nose sits low, so it takes every rock the car ahead kicks up, and a chip on the front of a Corvette is the first thing anyone notices.

On a C8, the mid-engine layout adds another one. The side intakes and the rear quarters sit right behind the front tires, so sand and gravel get thrown into them on every drive. That’s why a Corvette is worth protecting well past the front bumper.

The Villages has a big Corvette crowd, and our shop is right across from Brownwood Paddock Square, close to home for most of them.

How it works

How a Corvette visit works

  1. 01

    We walk it with you

Pull in and we do a full walk-around of your car together. From that moment, it’s under 24/7 video surveillance the whole time it’s in our shop.

  2. 02

    We take parts off

Where the car allows, lights, emblems, and trim come off so the film tucks in behind them and edges wrap cleanly.

  3. 03

    Film, coating, or tint

Each service is done in our climate-controlled shop. Film goes on first, then the coating on top.

  4. 04

    We check in

You drive off with simple care tips, and a few days later we call to make sure you love it.

Questions

What people ask us

Should I get full-body PPF on a C8?

If you drive it on the highway or plan to keep it, it’s worth considering. The C8’s side intakes and rear quarters catch debris from the front tires, and front-only film doesn’t cover them. Rock Guard is a good start if you mostly drive it locally.

Can you do matte or color PPF on a Corvette?

Yes. Matte film gives a satin look in your own color, and color film changes the color. Both protect the paint underneath the same way clear film does.

Can you ceramic coat over PPF?

Yes. Film goes on first, then the coating on top of the film and the rest of the paint. The film stops chips, and the coating makes it all slick and easy to wash.

Do you tint Corvettes?

Yes, with ceramic film that blocks 99% of UV and carries a lifetime warranty on the film and our labor.

Do you work on older Corvettes?

Yes. We’ve coated and tinted C5, C6, and C7 Corvettes as well as C8s.
